YES, YES!!! BUT WHERE DOES THE BOOKMARK GO?

Bookmarks have evolved along with books. They've gone from ancient times to mark places in scrolls 40 meters or more, to medieval times when monks and rabbis marked their spots, to Elizabeth I presented with a novel fringed silk marker.

Next? Electronic pulses in an e-reader.

However you mark your place, I hope you find many fine moments in the company of all sorts of books throughout 2010.

For a FREE bookmark (or to hang it as a tiny French tapestry) from San Francisco's RIBBONERIE, e-mail me: jillcenter@sbcglobal.net. Supplies limited -- no remaining tapestries ... sorry & keep reading; e-reader not included.
